Style Them Bangs

For a very long time, I had a very hard time getting my hair to look just right. Being blessed with a head of hair that is something between curls and waves, it was never easy to style my hair. And then, someone suggested I get bangs.

Bangs are basically of two types – blunt and side swept. Round faces with either curly or wavy hair  look gorgeous with side swept bangs. On the other hand, blunt bangs look best with lean faces and straight hair. The popularity of bangs are solely due to their versatility.  You can wear your bangs as a pompadour, a simple pin back or  you can braid it in ten different ways. And that’s not all.

So here are some absolutely cute and adorable things you can do with your bangs:

1. The pompadour:

To achieve the perfect pompadour, you need to tease and pin your bangs. Start by pulling out your bangs after separating them. Then back brush your bangs to give them a puffy base. Pull them back and run your brush over them. Then pin your bangs using two bobby pins.

2. The straight pin back:

This is one of the most easiest ways to style your bangs. Style the rest of your hair as you normally do and then just pull back your bangs and pin them up. You can get creative by braiding the ends of your pin back. Either way, this look is simple, neat and cute.

3. The twist and pin:

The twist and pin is relatively easy to achieve and takes very little time. Sweep your bangs tot he side and take a small section near the parting. Twist it, and as you keep going farther back, add more hair from your bangs. When you are satisfied with the result, pin your hair up with bobby pins.

4. Braid your bangs:

There are about ten different ways you can braid your bangs and many of them are a spin off from the twist and pin. Instead of twisting your hair, start braiding it and as you go farther back, keep adding more hair to your braid.

5. Parted in the middle:

If you don’t want to spend much time styling your bangs, then go for a simple middle part, with blown out bangs on both sides.
