A friend of mine recently started a Facebook page dedicated to her very own nail art. Though she seems to be exceptionally talented, the first thing I remember wondering is how does one muster up so much time to decorate one’s NAILS?
Don’t get me wrong, nail art is pretty slick to make your hands look glamorous. Polka dots, stars, swirls, rainbow patters, cheetah spots and tiger stripes – nails say it all these days. What one doesn’t realize is the amount of time girls spend to get their nails looking oh-so-fabulous in the first place. What is even more amazing is the unique and novel designs people come up with. And why not? The perfectly painted nails, or I should say, the perfectly ornamented nails, can make or break your look. It might be hard for some people to understand (especially men) how peripheral layers of keratin can have anything to do with someone’s appearance; but for girls, those perfectly painted red nails are something to die for.
To pull off a fancy nail art, one must maintain a decent length on their nails. Too short and your hands look stubby. Too long on the either hand, um… let’s just say pointy nails don’t actually impress anyone. So to maintain the perfect length is pretty important.
Then one must decide on which art would suit their personality and outfit. The worst case scenario is something like showing up for work with fluorescent nails. One would be wise to avoid such disasters.

As I conclude, I feel motivated to give it a try myself. I mean, how hard can it be? There’s just one problem – I have to stop chewing my nails first.
