Choose your shades wisely !

With summer around the corner , its probably the best time to invest in a pair of shades . At Storewoot , we thought we’d help you out with the process by making you understand what kind of shades to buy , based on the shape of your face .

Increase Etsy Views – Increase Etsy Sales

In my last few visits to the internet , I noticed a recurring problem . People were getting all the views on their product that they ever wanted , but they were not able to convert it to sales . So I began to think – what could a seller do to ensure that a customer , apart from just viewing the product , always ends up buying it . After a thorough research , I’ve come up with the top four tips to make sure that the customer BUYS what you have to offer .

 

One .

“What is in it for me ? “

Explain to the customer whats in it for him . Telling him what you have to offer and not just describing the product is a great and almost sure shot way to ensure sales . Think of it as a real life scenario – the online world and the real world are not that different – think of your online page as if you are talking to a customer in real life . Talk to him , understand his psyche . 

Two . 

Get personal ! 

Use marketing strategies that don’t treat the customer like just another number . Reach out , and ask him how it was , how the product turned out …all of it  ! . E mails are often a great way to do this , and are one of the best ways to reach out to your customer . Invest some quality time into this , because the kind of wonders a satisfied customer can do , no one else can !

 

Three .

Ask ! 

Customer feedback is probably the best idea that a sales executive came up with . This gives you a clear cut route in to the mind of the customer , and believe it or not – most customers are willing to share their stories regarding your product with you . Ask them , find out what they felt about it , how it could be improved , what went wrong. This is the best way to improve your product and increase sales .

 

 

 

Four . 

Dumb it down . 

Yes , you love being complex and inserting hidden meanings into everything , I get that . I love it too . Thing is , most customers don’t . They are looking for a straight forward approach to a buy . None of the frills and fancies . Keep in mind , its always good to advertise your product – keep it interesting . But making it complex and difficult to understand is always a headache .

SEO , or search engine optimization , is an issue that most people ignore , mostly because they don’t understand the importance of having a page that is optimized for search engines .

This article is essentially to acquaint you with what SEO is all about , and what kind of wonders you can achieve using it . In the following posts , I shall explain the WHY of search engine optimization’s important .

 

Lets start off with the dictionary definition of SEO . the practice of manipulating aspects of a Web site to improve its ranking in search engines . There . Simple enough ? .

 

Now , to the advantages of using the delectable advantages that SEO offers  , ie , WHY you should do it .

 

One . 

Everyone is doing it . So should you . This might seem like the ” follow the herd ” type argument , but in reality , it does make sense . If you do not want your business to lag behind , SEO is probably the best argument you can come up with . Additionally , with over 200 million web pages on the internet , your desire to have your page rank on the top of search results just got stronger :P .

People trust Google and Yahoo . Standard fact . People are more likely to trust a reputed search engine compared to some random person , however good their product might be . The idea is to piggyback onto the popularity of search engines and build your name , using their platform .

 

Three . 

 

Its practically free ! . Search engine optimization involves using your mind to understand the psyche of the customer , then come up with search keywords that target exactly that . Additionally , the results of optimizing your page are pretty permanent , meaning its not like a flyer campaign , where the reach is limited to a particular time period .

 

Four . 

 

The results of your SEO efforts , though not instant , are pretty quick , at least when compared to a traditional marketing campaign . And yes, the customers will come in , slowly but surely . Its just the matter of time and further refinement of your keywords . Statistics show that more than half of the clicks for a search tend to opt for the first result , which will obviously result in a higher conversion rate .

Content Marketing 101

 

Content marketing. Fancy term, eh? So what exactly is content marketing? If you ask Google, you’ll get this as your answer –  ”Content marketing is any marketing format that involves the creation and sharing of median and publishing content in order to acquire customers.” Well, that’s a quite a mouthful isn’t it? Fret not, content marketing is not that hard to understand, provided you look at it with a simplistic eye.

Imagine that you have set up a small bakery. Now, in order to get customers you might ask your friends and family to refer your bakery to their friends and family and so on. You might also place an advertisement in the local newspaper or even pay for a cable advertisement. Is this marketing? Of course. But it’s not exactly content marketing. If you publish a few pamphlets with a small description of your bakery, pictures of the kind of goods you sell, the interior of your store and so on, THAT would be content marketing.

In the example above, you CREATED some kind of content about your establishment (the description, remember?) which you ultimately published. Hence, your bakery gains popularity. Your sales increase but you’re not really happy. You thought that the pamphlets would do the trick, but obviously that does not cover for the people who never received a pamphlet. What do you do then?

If you’re like every other member in your demographic class, you would turn to the internet for help. Probably a Facebook page first, and then a  website and voila, your customer count soars.

So what exactly happened here? Obviously, the paper pamphlets were not enough as a large number of people now prefer the internet as a means of communication in their daily life. So that’s the first thing to remember about content marketing – target the media with the largest customer base.

Now that you have a steady stream of customers, you’d probably like to make more profit right? The best way to do that is to get more customers. So, now you decide on what kind of customers prefer your bakery.Since we are considering a bakery, almost all kinds of people would visit your store but for the sake of better understanding, let us assume that middle aged housewives are the most frequent visitors.

Once you’ve identified the specific customer base, it’s simply a matter of promoting your establishment in the areas which are preferred by the targets. In this case, local grocery stores,primary schools, community buildings etc. would be the perfect place to put up posters/promote your store. You might have to alter the content to suit your targeted customer base.

Since you have to put up so many posters and pamphlets, you might want to keep refreshing the content so as to avoid being boring. You might decide to choose a bold color theme for the posters in order to take care of the aesthetic requirements.

These are the basic building blocks of content marketing. Depending on the media used, there are specific techniques designed to provide maximum marketing. There is another thing yo must keep in mind – never sell your product as too shallow or too classy. Try to keep it somewhere in the middle. Try to follow the pyramid below:
